Vacuum - Why My Vacuum Stopped Working?
There are a few reasons why:
Problem | Reason | Risks | Solution |
---|---|---|---|
For Rechargeable Types: Battery fully charged, but once start using, very fast/immediately auto power off | The battery is overcharged. In this case, the battery will be damaged, and hence the auto power off issue | The battery may explode or melt, exposing toxic chemicals | Once the battery has been fully charged, do not let it continue to charge, but switch off the power and unplug the battery from the socket |
Power is on, but cannot suck in anything, will auto turn off | The dust container is full/over the maximum threshold | The vacuum may catch on fire (heat + excessive dust/dirt) | Clean out the dust container. Remember not to exceed the maximum threshold line indicated on the dust container |
When power on, it will immediately auto turn off again | The vacuum is too hot/overheated; it has operated for more than its operational time | The vacuum may catch on fire or partially melt away | Do not operate the vacuum over its operational time. Once it show signs of overheating, turn it off and let it cool down for at least 15 mins before re-using |
