Bear Slow Cooker - How Come Not Boiling/Cooking After A Long Time?

If you've bought the digital 1L Bear slow cooker model, a good chance of the slow cooker not cooking even after hours may be that you've accidentally pressed the preset timer function.

Note: preset means to start cooking only after the countdown has finished. If you want to cook immediately without waiting, do not press preset.

Another reason is that you're cooking raw food in room temperature water. The reason why slow cookers are slow in cooking is due to the ceramic pot. Being not a good heat conductor, the ceramic pot takes a very long time to heat up and cool down, hence to cook something in the slow cooker using room temperature water is strongly not recommended.

Note: If you wish to cook with the slow cooker, use hot/boiling water and partially/already cooked food. The slow cooker's main function is to bring out the flavours of the food the longer the food cooks, not to cook raw food.
