Air Cooler - My Air Cooler Is Leaking Water
Causes:
- Water Tank
- Added water too hastily, causing the water to splash around and land on the outside of the tank, thus leaking water
- Added water above the max water level
- Cable near mesh
If the cable is touching the back of the cooler, water droplets that comes into contact with them may condense and flow down from the cable and leak out at the bottom
- Dirt & dust
If the filter is dirty, water may form droplets on the dust and dirt, and start to drip/leak water
- Water outlet installed incorrectly (for IF7310 only)
The green water outlet at the back should be installed with the straight rows on top while the wavy part is below
- Holes in the mesh
If clogged by dirt, the water cannot flow through. It accumulates overtime and will overflow to the sides, hence the leakage
- Filter is wet
Solutions:
- Water tank
- Add water slowly
- Add water less than or until the maximum line
- Push the cable away from the mesh
- Clean the mesh by washing (DO NOT brush, just wash/rinse)
- Install correctly according to the instructions manual and clean thoroughly every few months.
- Use a toothpick or a toothbrush to unclog the holes in the mesh
- Dry the filter completely before use
